Question: Can I change my IRA over to another company IRA without penalty?

I have an IRA that is wrong for me. I am recently divorced and my idea of investing in different from my ex spouse’s. I want to invest more aggresively. Can I rollover my old IRA into one in a different company without any financial penalty?

Answer: Yes. Call whoever you want to change it to and they’ll send you paperwork to complete. It will go directly to the new IRA.

I had a couple different IRA’s and rolled them all into one IRA a couple years ago. It was relatively simple.
